The developing
Qiangang Company

Welcome to Qiangang Company. The Company is a branch
of the Qingdao Port Corporation, and mainly involved
in loading and unloading of coals and iron ore.Now it
is the biggest ore transshipment base of China and one
of the five bases for coal export.
The company locates on the Yellow
Sea Rim and on the west coast of jiaozhou bay, reposing
in the beautiful Huangdao Qianwan new port. It's bordering
the old city zone of Qingdao in the east, and the jiaozhou
bay works as its anchorage ground. Our port is a natural
deepwater port ,free of strong wind and big waves, freezing
and silt and advantageous for shipping. In the west,
it connects to the free-trade zone of Qingdao. The Jiao-Huang
and Jiao-Ji special railway lines joint here, and the
highway in all directions make the traffic very convenience.
Qiangang Company,which was called
Qianwan Port Company ,was build up in July, 1993. After
the government checked and accepted it in December,
1993, the Qiangang Company began to mobilizing.
Now the company manages three
wharves and seven deepwater berths. The yearly throughput
capacity is designed to be 48.2 million tons. The area
of the port is 2.4sq.km,and storage yard totals 1100,000
sq.m. with the capacity exceeding 10 million tons .The
total investment is about 4.76 billion yuan. The produce
system is made up of coal and ore handling systems.
After the reform and open to
the world of China, Qiangang company constantly adhered
to the principle that "Development is the very
truth" and always focused on port operation and
construction while taking full advantage of its natural
advantage.
Now we have 1800 employees,
our head office comprises 6 departments, they are Operating
Dept., Finance Dept., Development Dept., Personnel Dept.,
Political Work Dept. and General Office.
During these years, we take
the advantage of big wharf and deep berth to serve the
shipper efficiently with inexpensive price and convenient
procedure. We've created the world record- Sunbo Efficiency,
which means unloading 6098 tons of ore in an hour per
ship. The throughput of 2004 have reached 65 million
tons. These achievements indicate that we are able to
fulfill the task efficiently.
