　The Qingdao Port Machinery Plant ( QPMP ), is subordinate to Qingdao Port Group Co.,Ltd , located the eastern end of No.8 terminal of Qingdao Port.
QPMP has more than 500 staffs in which senior and middle rank professional & technical mans account for 11 per cent of the staffs, and high and middle level skilled workers account for 60 per cent of the staffs. QPMP is divided into 4 departments and 1 office, 8 branch plants, 1 port machinery design institute.
The total area of our housing and site is 28000 m2 , and more than 150 sets of equipments for machining and testing. QPMP is possessed of the only advanced production-lines for steels pretreatment in Qingdao city of China, this production-lines can be used in auto-shot blast, spray paint, baking finish and digital control cutting.
QPMP, established 40-odd years ago, were a maintenance plant for handling machinery and vehicles in Qingdao Port.

　At present, QPMP, a enterprise that maintenance is as the principal thing step by step developed and has become a manufacturing industry for port machinery ( develop simultaneously both maintenance and manufacture, manufacture is as the principal thing ).
QPMP has now multiple leading products such as “store up 5 and stride 6 containers” model rubber-tyred gantry crane ( RTG ) , portal jib crane of capacity 10t-33m / 16t-33m / 25t-33m , QM32-38D model portal jib crane with funnel, rail spiral coal unloader, belt conveyer and rollers, various grabs of capacity 3~62t etc.. Our year output value passed 200 million yuans RMB. Our capacity is 30 sets of RTG and 15 sets of portal jib crane per year. Our products is sold to 15 domestic locals and Taiwan province of China. In which the “store up 5 and stride 6 containers” model rubber-tyred gantry crane won the second-class “prize for advance of science & technology” of Qingdao city in 2002 year. Manufacturing achievement of our RTG is 60sets up to 2004.
In addition, QPMP undertaked manufactory, erection and design of several single and integrated projects such as solid & liquid bulk large steel storage tank , large steel structure and pipe network etc..
In 2005, QPMP will research & develop and manufacture the post-panamax quayside container crane of capacity 65 t / 65 m cooperating with the domestic celebrated designing institutes.
QPMP already obtained 12 pieces of patent in China up to 2004.
QPMP already passed through the ISO Quality System Certification.
