QPC Realized Its Q1 Throughput Target

Confronted with the severe financial crisis, QPC¡¯s Q1 cargo throughput reached 78.45 million tons, up 4.5 percent compared with the same period last year, and its monthly throughput up to 26.46 million tons, both of which hit the Port¡¯s handling records. The container volume was 2.501.000 TEU, up 2.3 percent than the same period of last year, reinforced its third place among Chinese ports. In Q1, Qingdao Port has become the only one of the five major Chinese coastal ports that keeps a sustained growth under the adverse market slowdown.
